Int'l Teleport, EOT Enterprises Ready To Implement Satellite Gateway
To Ethiopia
The
minister of Transport and Communication, His Excel1ency Mr. Mohamoud
Dirir visited Atlanta International Teleport facilities, on the
Atlanta leg of the high-level Reverse Trade and Investment Mission
to the United States of America. Atlanta International Teleport
and EOT Enterprises will jointly provide an international communications
link with advanced, affordable communications, that will deliver
fast, direct, limitless connection to the Internet backbone and
international Voice communications. This gateway will bring foreign
corporations to Ethiopia by featuring a high tech educated work
force, fast and efficient international communications, and direct
access to the top level of the Internet and international PSTN backbones.

Link, Inc. (TTL), a Houston based consulting firm, introduced
EATIC to Atlanta International Teleport and EOT Enterprises.
TTL has also prepared the introduction of a new Agro-Farm
Housing Project, which will apply completely new and
progressive technology for the development of regional
high tech satellite farms in Ethiopia. These farms will
be equipped to recycle their solid and liquid waste
to fertilizers and palatable water for domestic and
farm irrigation.
This
project will also provide low cost housing for the farm
workers. modem pens for poultry and dairy. new irrigation
systems for agriculture, modem farming equipment and
Internet based technical support for farming and agriculture.
(Part of the Distant Learning Project linked with the
new revolutionary 21st century communication network
by ALT & EOT Enterprises). TTL is also involved
in sourcing finance for other medium to large government
projects.

Emerging
from this is the Internet, Voice and computer industries that will
provide thousands of high paying, non polluting jobs which will
impact current domestic businesses in growth and prosperity. Ethiopia
by then will have Established Call Centers and VPN (virtual private
network) business connections for new and established businesses.
This
will also enhance the education level by delivering certificates
and degrees in specialized education classes including telecommunications,
engineering, health and computer sciences, developed with local
educators, without leaving Ethiopia. This opportunity will advance
Ethiopians to take the lead in Computer / Internet and Communications
revolution of the 21st century. This super highway connection to
the heart of the Internet and PSTN backbones will open up doors
to new Data Base Management, Operations Telecommunication Services.
Internet, E--Business, VPN, and other high tech applications, that
will make Ethiopia the Silicon Valley of Africa.
Mr.
Eustace 0. Thomas of ALT EOT will tour Ethiopia's telecommunication
facilities in May 2001 to examine the existing infrastructure, to
determine the initial needs and create the template and the time
table for launching this new revolutionary communication system.
