Statistics Authority Finalizes Census

Ayssaita, July 13, 2002 (WIC)- The Addis Ababa Statistics Authority said it has finalized agricultural sample census at the "woreda" level that will serve as source of data and information necessary for development programmes.

Office Head Fantahun Wole told Walta this week that the city-wide woreda level census which is part of the country wide census is much wider and more detailed in its coverage than all similar preceding exercises.

He said 40 data collectors and eight field supervisors have been involved in the census which enjoyed the support and cooperation of seven government offices.
