Preparing Geological Map For Investors
Addis
Ababa, March 12, 2002 (ENA): The Ethiopian Geological Survey says
it is preparing a map that would give first-hand information to
entrepreneurs willing to engage in various investment activities.
Survey
general manager, Ketema Tadesse, told ENA that the map would be
beneficial to entrepreneurs interested in involving in mines and
energy, agriculture, industry, water and construction sectors.
The
map would cover the investment sites in Oromia, Amhara, Tigray and
Benshangul-gumuz states as well as lowland and neighboring highland
areas of Western Ethiopia, Ketema said.
He
said the map would enable to identify, among others, mineral and
underground water deposits in the stated localities.
The
map would also help raise the geological coverage of the country
and classify its natural resources, the general manager said.
